They see the name you chose.

Family sees Maya. Work sees Maya Reyes. They cannot look up your account, or follow one name into another group.

How they know you

Same person. The name fits the room.

Family sees Maya
The game sees maya_r
Work sees Maya Reyes

Not this

Your email stays with the sign-in. A group does not get it. Nobody there can look you up as an account and walk from Maya into Maya Reyes, or from work into the family chat.

Names stay where you put them

You keep one way in. From there you decide, group by group, which name people meet. Maya with family is not a trail to maya_r in the game, or to Maya Reyes at work.

What we can see

This is not the kind of chat where even we cannot read messages. People who run the service can see what it stores. We will not sell you a story we cannot keep.
